A comparison of job growth in Alabama and Utah published last week looked at changes in unemployment rates and job growth overall. This story goes a level deeper, and looks at the quality of jobs being created in each state.
Alabama is trailing states like Utah and Texas in overall job creation. And the jobs being added to Alabama’s economy pay a lower wage on average, relative to the types of jobs being added elsewhere in the country.
